He was still in high school when he started recording music.
Jonathan’s appearance on Rising Star earned him a chance to represent Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018.
It was his fellow singer Netta Barzilai who beat him into first place on Rising Star. The other contestants that he competed against are Chen Aharoni and Riki Ben Ari.
He released his debut EP titled Ma Iyea on September 15, 2019. It included the tracks Asur and Hakol Shakuff.
